Middlesex County Library is excited to announce a new digital collection for patrons – Cloud Library. On October 1st the new Cloud Library collection will replace the current Libraries on the Go collection and will provide access to over 120,000 eBook and eAudiobook titles to our patrons.
The Libraries on the Go collection was created in 2009 with five participating library systems to offer downloadable digital media from OverDrive. This partnership was successful and provided Middlesex County residents with access to eBook and eAudiobook materials with a shared collection.
As the demand for digital materials increases, the Libraries on the Go member libraries decided to move the collection to Cloud Library which provides greater access to materials with a shared collection with twenty other membership libraries. Middlesex County Library is confident this new shared collection will meet the information and recreation needs of our patrons.
Training sessions and demonstrations will be provided at each of our fifteen branches in October to assist with the transition to Cloud Library. The current digital collection with Libraries on the Go will end on November 17, 2019.
