Community Pantries

Community Pantries are intended to provide emergency food relief to residents of the local community.  They are maintained through community partnerships and the support of community members.

Give What You Can, Take What You Need

Anyone is welcome to anonymously take what they need from a Community Pantry.  Donations are welcome at anytime, simply leave appropriate items in the pantry. If the pantry is full, please consider donating at another time, or donating to a local food bank.

What to donate:

  • Canned food of all kinds;
  • Granola bars, protein bars, snack mixes, beef jerky;
  • Crackers, rice cakes, popcorn, cereal, instant hot cereals;
  • Nut butters, shlef-stable cheese spreads;
  • Protein shakes, shelf stable milk, bottled water.

What not to donate:

  • Homemade food;
  • Perishable food like fresh fruits or vegetables, and dairy products;
  • Expired food;
  • Dented, rusted or swollen cans.

Items for the community pantry are donated anonymously. Middlesex County Library, the local municipalities, and others associated with this project assume no liability, and make no warranty for the contents or quality of items. The library makes every effort to curate items, but recommends that users inspect items carefully before using.
