Getting a Library Card

A library card is free for all residents of Middlesex County. To register for a card, please visit a Middlesex County Library branch during open hours. Please bring with you a piece of photo identification and proof of address (examples include your driver's license or photo health card or passport and a bill in your name or student card and report card).

A parent or legal guardian needs to sign the library card registration form for their child up to and including age 13.

Reciprocal Borrowing

Residents of the communities below are also eligible for a Middlesex County library card. In addition to ID and proof of address, eligible non-residents must present a valid card from their home library system.

Virtual Library Card

A virtual library card is exclusively for the use of digital content offered by Middlesex County Library.   Residents of Middlesex County and the communities listed above, who are over the age of 14 and do not already have a Middlesex County Library card are welcome to complete our online form to apply for a virtual card.
