Patrons who are ill, or who have or believe they have come in contact with Covid-19, are asked to postpone their visit as per recommendations set out by government and health officials.
All libraries are currently open for browsing and hold pick-up, you are welcome to drop-in to any location anytime during their open hours to browse for items or to pick-up your available holds.
Patrons have 7 open days to pick-up held books and audiobooks, and 3 open days to pick-up DVDs. Those patrons without an email address on their account will be notified by phone, all others will receive an automated email message.
Items can be returned inside the branch or placed in the drop-box or returns slot at all of our libraries.
Middlesex County Library is no longer quarantining returned materials. However, due to the smaller number of open days at some branches, items may still remain on your account for a number of days after being returned. You may receive overdue notifications during this period, please disregard if the item(s) have been returned.
Middlesex County LIbrary has resumed charging overdue fees on all Adult items. Juvenile and YA items remain fine free; charges for lost and damaged items will still apply.
You can verify due dates by logging into your online account using your library card number and PIN. If you require assistance to access your account, or have other questions, please email librarian@middlesex.ca, or call 519-245-8237 and leave a message with your contact information.
Public computers are available at all 15 locations on a first come, first served basis.
WiFi is available at all 15 of locations, even when branches are closed. Patrons are welcome to use WiFi from outside of the library if able to so.
The Microfilm collections at the Dorchester, Glencoe, Lucan, Parkhill and Strathroy Libraries are available for use.
The Creative and Maker Spaces at the Dorchester and Glencoe Libraries are now open. Please contact the branch directly for more information.
Mobile Internet Hotspots are available to be borrowed from 10 Middlesex County Library locations. Learn more.
Printing, photocopying and faxing is available for patrons visiting branches for a small charge.
Payments for these services can be made in cash or by cheque. If you are a Middlesex County Library cardholder, charge may also be applied to your account and paid online.
Fee exemptions are available for items related to government services, social services, legal aid, partnership programs and employment services. Please verify exemptions with staff.

Black & White Prints/Copies - $0.15 per printed side
Colour Prints/Copies - $0.25 per printed side
Local Faxing - $0.50 per page
Long Distance Faxing - $1.00 per page

Patrons may also upload documents to be printed at a branch and picked up at a later time. To use our print service, please complete the online form.
